Six ingredients.
Zero synthetics.
One honest cream.
Grass-fed beef tallow — roughly 50% oleic acid, mirroring your skin's own fatty-acid profile — whipped with non-nano zinc oxide into a barrier cream and daily moisturizer. No water, no preservatives, no fragrance.
"Truly unscented — no unpleasant tallow smell at all." — Amazon verified buyer
Read the back of your current jar.
You can't. Neither can a chemist, quickly.
Water-based creams need emulsifiers to hold oil and water together — and preservatives to keep that water from growing things. The result is an ingredient list most people can't pronounce.
ingredients in a typical cream
Emulsifiers, preservatives, fragrance, fillers — most there to stabilize the formula, not feed the skin.
per application for barrier creams
Premium face creams charge per ounce. A jar you use sparingly costs far more than it should.
ingredients here — that's the list
Tallow, zinc oxide, raspberry seed oil, carrot seed oil, beeswax, shea butter. Nothing else exists in the jar.

The cream that goes where your skin takes a beating.
A pea-sized amount covers a palm-sized area. Firm in the jar, it softens as it warms on skin — and a thin layer is the whole job.
- Daily face + body moisturizer — hands, elbows, heels, dry patches. Best applied to slightly damp skin.
- Anti-chafe barrier — a thin layer on inner thighs, underarms, any friction zone before activity.
- Tattoo moisture — a sheer layer on fully healed ink, once your artist clears moisturizers.
- Sensitive skin — six ingredients, no fragrance, no preservatives. Nothing hidden for skin to react to.
What this cream is not — said up front.
We'd rather lose the sale than have you disappointed at the jar.
Not SPF-tested
Zinc oxide is a mineral UV filter as an ingredient — but this cream is not a sunscreen, carries no SPF rating, and should never be your sun protection. Use a certified SPF 30+ outdoors.
It can leave a faint cast
Non-nano zinc stays on the skin's surface — that's the point. On darker skin tones a visible residue is possible. Cosmetic finish isn't this cream's game; barrier protection is.
Hard in the jar, soft on skin
No water and no synthetic emulsifiers means a firm, dense texture — it softens at skin temperature in seconds. Scrape a pea-sized amount, don't dig.
Six ingredients. The whole list, right here.
Grass Fed Tallow, Zinc Oxide, Rubus Idaeus Seed Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa Seed Oil, Beeswax, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter — that's the complete INCI. Nothing else is in the jar.
Grass-Fed Beef Tallow
~50% oleic acid — a fatty-acid profile close to your skin's own sebum, so it absorbs instead of sitting on top. Grass-fed sourcing carries more CLA and vitamins A, D, E, K than grain-fed.
Non-Nano Zinc Oxide
Particles larger than 100nm — they stay on the skin's surface as a mineral protectant and anti-friction layer. Uncoated: no silicone or aluminum stearate hiding the particle.
Red Raspberry Seed Oil
Rubus idaeus — high in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids; studied for mild UV-filtering properties.
Carrot Seed Oil
Daucus carota sativa — high beta-carotene; antioxidant compounds studied for UV-induced oxidative stress.
Beeswax
Creates the water-resistant barrier that gives the cream its structure — without a single synthetic wax.
Shea Butter
Butyrospermum parkii — adds luteolin and cinnamic acid esters, documented mild UV absorption, and the soft finish.

"I've tried other tallow-based creams before, but many feel questionable since they're made in small home batches. Wholly Kaw sets itself apart with a lab-developed formula, meaning it's created in a sterile, clean environment you can trust. This cream is truly unscented — no unpleasant tallow smell at all."
"It goes on smoothly, isn't greasy, and leaves only the faintest white cast — barely noticeable unless you're looking for it. The grass-fed sourcing shows the brand's commitment to quality."
"Expect a white cast and a firm texture that softens as it warms." — that's what our own listing tells you upfront. Honest product pages make happy jar owners.

Before you ask.
Can this tallow zinc oxide cream be used as sunscreen?
No. This cream is not a sunscreen — it's not SPF-tested and carries no SPF rating. Zinc oxide is a physical (mineral) UV filter as an ingredient, the same mineral used in mineral sunscreens — that's a property of the ingredient, not an SPF claim for this product. We include non-nano zinc for its skin-protectant and anti-friction role in a barrier cream. For time outdoors, use a certified broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen.
Is tallow good for your skin?
Grass-fed beef tallow has a fatty acid composition close to human sebum — roughly 50% oleic acid — which is why it absorbs readily rather than sitting on the surface. It contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K plus conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). In this formula its role is to moisturize and support the skin's own barrier.
Will it leave a white cast?
Possibly — that's the honest answer. Non-nano zinc oxide particles reflect more visible light than nano alternatives, so a visible residue is possible, especially on medium-to-dark skin tones. That's the trade-off for using a particle size that stays on the surface. If cosmetic finish is your only concern, this isn't your cream; if barrier protection is, the faint cast fades as the cream warms in.
What's the difference between non-nano and nano zinc oxide?
Non-nano particles are larger than 100 nanometers — they stay on the skin's surface rather than penetrating it. Nano particles (under 100nm) disappear cosmetically but raise absorption questions. We use only uncoated non-nano zinc — a formulation choice, not a sun-protection claim.
Can I use it on tattoos?
Many people use tallow cream on healed tattoos. Its fatty-acid profile closely matches the skin's own lipids — apply a sheer layer to clean, dry, fully healed tattooed skin. Wait until the tattoo is fully healed and your artist clears moisturizers.
Does it smell like beef?
No — properly rendered tallow has no beef smell. The odor is removed during rendering, not covered with perfume, so it's truly unscented and won't compete with your cologne or perfume.
Six ingredients.
Zero compromises.
A jar that does the job of four — and tells you exactly what it won't do, before you buy.
